What: Pantene Philippines created a video that explores gender bias in the workplace.
Inspirational element: This video took trending topic such as the movement for women empowerment promoted by Sheryl Sandberg, and create a compelling story with light branding at the end. It wasn’t in-your-face advertising; it focused on storytelling. It even had a “short film” feel to it.
Audience: Professional women who want beautiful hair.
Variables that made it great: Solid foundation on a current topic + great storytelling + in video format + shared post by Sheryl Sandberg = viral advertising.
Now if only we can have beautiful hair as the women in the video, we’d surely be able to dominate the world 🙂
